Bristol’s Clean Air Zone

Bristol City Council have announced that Bristol’s Clean Air Zone will launch in summer 2022, following Government confirming an investment of £42m in Bristol’s clean air plans.

The government has invested towards measures that reduce pollution in the city and meet clean air targets by helping more individuals and businesses switch to cleaner ways of travelling. Funding will go towards greener transport of goods, free bus tickets, cycle training and loans or grants to help people and businesses upgrade their vehicles.

The announcement is available HERE and Bristol City Council have a dedicated Clean Air Zone (CAZ) site.

Bristol City Council estimate 71% of vehicles already meet the zone’s emissions standards. Only older and more polluting vehicles will be charged.
