More information on the Jobs Fair

Publicity: There will be flyers printed and distributed throughout Bristol and in Jobcentres, libraries and public/job-seeking venues. In addition to this, it will be promoted on their website, publicised on social media and in the press. When you receive the flyer, please share it where you deem appropriate.

Times: Tables will be placed by 10.30am. Be set up and ready for 10.45am. Officially the Jobs Fair starts at 11am. However, Cabot Circus does not close so there may be browsers at any time. Please exit the venue not before 14:00.

Parking: If you can get a bus to the venue then this may be the easiest, greenest and cheapest mode of transport; there are many bus stops surrounding Cabot Circus. There is parking on site in the public car park at Cabot Circus – a discounted parking rate for Jobs Fair exhibitors is being negotiated and will be confirmed in a Final Details email, closer to the day.

Spaces: A trestle table and chair will be supplied. Please bring a tablecloth or covering and promotional items to draw the attention of any attendees, and ample supplies of any literature/brochures you may wish to hand out. There will be a space for you to have a pop-up banner of 1m width (please note sometimes it gets a bit breezy).

Wi-Fi: Is available but is sometimes unreliable. There is no available power outlets, so please ensure laptops are charged prior to arrival.

Help on the day: There will be a number of staff wearing Bristol City Council or DWP badges and you can ask any of these for assistance.

Refreshments: Available from the catering outlets within Cabot Circus.

First time: If this is your first time, please bring ample supplies of any literature/brochures you may wish to hand out. There are no copying facilities nearby.

There will be a significant number of visitors to this Jobs Fair, so be prepared to talk to them.

The Jobs Fairs are always free of charge but these events do incur us a cost. To prove that the costs are a good use of public funds, please respond to the questionnaires that will be distributed during the event.
