Lyrics from popular love songs have appeared to welcome shoppers, diners and workers back to the city, as restrictions continue to ease.
Made by a collective of Bristol artists and fabricators, the 20 sets of huge pink lyrics adorn silver discs and hang in Broadmead, Cabot Circus, King Street, Queens Road, Park Street and Corn Street. Visitors can explore lyrics from pop icons including Beyoncé, The Cure, Bob Marley, Elton John, Madness, The Beatles, and Stevie Wonder alongside many other surprises.
Visitors can head to Visit Bristol, for a Spotify playlist to enjoy alongside the lyrics on the streets, as well as a guide to every lyric appearing across the city. Bristolians and visitors to the city are invited to share their favourites using the #LoveBristol hashtag, spreading the invitation to enjoy the city safely.
The installations will be in place throughout the summer, as part of a series of activations on the streets to invite everyone back to enjoy the city’s incredible music, culture, retail and food scene.
