New local COVID alert levels

The Prime Minister has announced a new three-tier lockdown system, designed to iron out confusion surrounding local lockdowns and restrictions.

Under the new system, regions will be put into three categories: medium, high and very high. Bristol is in the medium category, but this is subject to change.

Regions in the medium category will have to abide by existing COVID rules such as the Rule of Six, 10pm curfew, and social distancing. Hospitality businesses, non-essential shops, leisure and tourism venues, schools and workplaces will all remain open.

While Bristol is currently in the medium category, it’s important to stay vigilant with keeping your business COVID-secure to reduce potential infections.
