Despite the challenges this year has brought, Broadmead BID retailers came up trumps once again when we asked for prizes for our fourth annual 12 Days of Christmas competition, donating a total of 15 gifts and treats worth over £1,000. The objectives of the competition were to showcase the broad range of shops to be found in Bristol Shopping Quarter and to attract new subscribers to our monthly eNewsletter. It was launched on Tuesday 1 December and ran until Saturday 12th. We received an incredible 4,284 entries, a 16% increase on the equivalent competition in 2019. The first two days combined saw Bristol Shopping Quarter website records broken in terms of both the number of unique visitors and the number of sessions they started. The competition was won by Esther Oliver who was delighted to accept the prizes.
This competition was the first time we asked entrants if they would agree to us sharing their data (names, email addresses and postcodes) with the companies that have donated prizes – 2,619 opted in.
