Broad Meadow – May and June 2024

Broadmead BID is supporting Broad Meadow, a wildflower meadow installation created by artists Sylvia Rimat and Charli Clark, which will be open on Broadmead West, outside Boots, from Friday 24 May until Thursday 20 June. The BID made a financial contribution of £2000, which helped unlock external funding, plus marketing/promotion and operational support.

The installation is made up of 55 wildflower boxes that have been planted in workshops with secondary school students across Bristol and with community groups. After the project ends, 10 of the boxes will remain in Broadmead, with the rest distributed to Bristol schools and communities to continue to thrive as mini meadows.

The programme includes three days of free family fun activities for ages 3-10 with creative, nature inspired arts and crafts activities, playful storytelling and wildflower seed bomb making.
