The Broadmead BID’s partnership with the loyalty app LoyalFree, which began in January 2020, continues in 2021/22.
LoyalFree is a multi-award winning place promotion app, operating in over 40 towns and cities across the UK. The aim of the app is to provide free advertising for businesses located within Bristol Shopping Quarter. Shoppers can use the app to find local deals, loyalty stamp schemes, events and trails straight from their smartphones. It also showcases other local information, including a really useful what’s on guide.
Recently we used the trail feature for a Halloween competition, encouraging families to visit during the half term holidays and explore the full BID area as they searched for 21 ghosts, scanning QR codes to ‘check in’ at each location. Those who found all 21 ghosts were entered into a prize draw to win prizes donated by participating businesses.
As at 11 December 2021, more than 65 businesses have used the app to promote one or more deals and most BID levy payers have featured in at least one trail. There are currently 1,111 engaged users, who have interacted with the app 11,506 times. There have been 2,267 business profile views, which can convert to sales even if those people aren’t redeeming offers – if 10% of those people visit and spend £10, that’s 227 visits and £2,270 spent!
