The Broadmead BID’s partnership with the loyalty app LoyalFree, which began in January 2020, continues in 2020/21.
LoyalFree is a multi-award winning place promotion app, operating in over 20 towns and cities across the UK. The aim of the app is to provide free advertising for businesses located within Bristol Shopping Quarter. Shoppers can use the app to find local deals, loyalty stamp schemes, events and trails straight from their smartphones. It also showcases other local information, including a really useful what’s on guide.
During the national lockdowns, most recently from January to April 2021, we were able to use the app to promote our levy payers’ online deals and to create trails that helped shoppers find the essential retailers, cafes offering takeaways/deliveries and much more.
As at 28 April 2021, 67 businesses have used the app to promote one or more deals and most BID levy payers have featured in at least one trail. There are currently 816 engaged users, who have interacted with the app 6,683 times. There have been 1,923 business profile views, which can convert to sales even if those people aren’t redeeming offers – if 10% of those people visit and spend £10, that’s 192 visits and £1.920 spent!
