On 7 December we sent a Bristol Shopping Quarter newsletter to 14,735 subscribers.
The objective was to share news, offers and events, including key Christmas dates, appeals from St Mungo’s and Southmead Hospital chartiy, information about new stores, COVID-19 advice, and much more. It was a packed newsletter.
We included a competition to increase the open and click rates. The prize package included gifts donated by Specsavers, Lush, Tesco Express, Superdrug, Vodafone, The Galleries and The Arcade. The competition was also promoted on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, with entrants invited to opt in to receive future newsletters and to receive emails from the companies that donated prizes. This will result in new subscribers and a list of contacts that we will be able to pass on to our competition partners.
We received 1,959 entries. 1,176 entries consented to be contacted by Bristol Shopping Quarter and 861 of those people also agreed to be contacted by our competition partners.
All Broadmead BID retailers were invited to submit content, including online deals, good news stories, shout-outs for their teams, and any virtual activities and events they have planned.
Future newsletters will go out on the first Tuesday of each month (except in January when it will be the second Tuesday)
