Retail Support Ranger – 2020/21

Jack, Broadmead BID’s retail support ranger, continues to work hard to support our levy payers.

During the second national lockdown in November, we continued to support our levy payers with the ranger service and provided daily patrols to report on operational issues and risks, and as we moved into early December, when non-essential retail re-opened, we increased the ranger support hours to deal with the potential uplift in crime and anti-social behaviour as well as compliance issues around social distancing.

During November, the retail support ranger assisted with 18 arrests, helped recover £2,713 worth of stock, and dealt with eight anti-social behaviour issues.
