Carmine and his team at Taste of Napoli kindly offered to donate three Italian grocery goodie bags from their online shop as competition prizes, the objective being to maximise the open rate of a Bristol Shopping Quarter newsletter highlighting businesses remaining open for takeaways and deliveries and those offering an online alternative. It also featured news items designed to remind readers of the wide range of shops and cafes they will be able to visit once the lockdown restrictions are lifted. Entrants were invited to subscribe to the BSQ and Taste of Napoli mailing lists, to increase future reach.
In addition to the newsletter, the competition was promoted on Twitter and with paid for posts on Instagram and Facebook.
We received 1,675 entries with 56% saying they are happy for their data (name, postcode, email address) to be added to the BSQ and/or Taste of Napoli mailing lists.
