A COVID-19 vaccine centre has been launched outside Superdrug to provide vaccination services within the city centre.
Opening on Thursday 21 January, the centre is one of six Superdrug sites around the country to support the vaccination programme, and is available to people who have been invited by the NHS to get vaccinated.
Superdrug’s highly trained pharmacists and nurses will use their clinical expertise to deliver the Covid-19 vaccine, supporting the NHS with the roll-out of the biggest vaccination programme in its history.
Working in partnership with Superdrug, Bristol City Council and Cabot Circus, the BID is delighted to have been able to support this project, making the vaccination more accessible to people most at risk from coronavirus.
BID Manager Steve Bluff said ‘We are delighted that Superdrug and the NHS have chosen Broadmead to host one of their COVID-19 vaccination centres. The hardworking project team have been joy to work with and we are pleased we could help facilitate such a smooth set-up of this by-appointment only centre.’
