Wonderful Water Festival – April 2025

For Easter 2025, Broadmead BID teamed up with  Sparks Bristol and John Wesley’s New Room, to produce Wonderful Water, a community arts festival that ran from 9 to 12 and 16 to 19 April (Wednesdays to Saturdays).

Wonderful Water celebrated the power of water to sustain life, nourish nature, and inspire wellbeing and invited all ages to enjoy exhibitions and allow creativity to flourish with craft sessions, dance workshops, talks, and more, including street performances by mermaids and deep-sea divers! All activities were FREE.

The event was planned with sustainability, creativity, and the importance of water at its heart, with children, families, community groups, and local artists involved in making artwork for the exhibitions using recycled and sustainable materials.

Workshops to create artwork for the exhibitions took place at both Sparks and John Wesley’s New Room during the February half term school holidays.
